Jared blinked a few years back and became a photographer. He is still unsure if this was a painful accident or beautiful stroke of luck. Having spent the last 7 years working behind the scenes shooting djs in an effort to document the rise of club culture and the dj he has seen quite a few dance floors around the world. In his search he came across some amazing faces in the music such as Ron Carroll, Chris Samba, Louie Vega, Kaskade, Mfr, Dj Spinna, Robert Owens, The Rogue Traders, Kraftwerk, The Gorrilaz, Ben Watt and Chris Lum to name a few. Occasionally he has been able to corner a vocalist or two such as Kenny Bobien, Ultra Nate, and Barbara Tucker. All of them have left an indelible mark on him and his lens which has kept him going despite the early morning plane flights, late night taxis and empty wallets. I doubt he would trade any of it for the world. So when he is not writing for URB he is most likely stuck on a plane or hiding behind his camera in some dark club somewhere, anywhere in the world good dance music can be found. Top 3 Airports Not to Use
LTN - London Luton (not only are you miles away from London proper, there is little public transport out, security heards you in a warehouse, its under horrible amounts of construction, and... well, its the only thing worse than Heathrow. Oh yeah, that new 40 pound British air tax (US 80$) isn't a selling point either)
LAX - Los Angeles (what a joke, why don't we as americans welcome all people to our country at 5:45 am by putting a cop outside the terminal who is heckling you for money... in any currency)
LGA - La Guardia, NYC (so you land and you are stuck sitting on the runway for 2 hours while the cabinent ministers from Liberia slowly get off their plane headed to the UN. All global gov't officials use this airport to get to UN, if their plane is in you don't move.)
